Herndon and Reston Library Sessions
We hosted sessions about FTC and FIRST programs at local libraries, where we allowed many people of all ages to control our and learn about our FTC team, Volt-e-mort. We also taught them how our whole robot works and its electronics; giving an insight on how we brainstormed and came up with ideas to build each mechanism and chassis of the robot. We were glad to see a great amount of people enjoying these events and will be continuing with them in the future! Elementary School Assemblies
We presented our plans for the future with FIRST and shared some of our experiences we had in FIRST Tech Challenge's past seasons with the Floris Elementary and McNair Elementary School students. We were able to explain what FIRST programs are all about, how our team was formed, different aspects in becoming a FIRST team/ team member, and demonstrations of our robot. We were so happy to see younger students gaining an interest in FIRST programs.

Mentoring Teams
We were able to mentor and coach some FLL Jr. and FLL teams for a few days, and gave them advice on how to transition through different programs in FIRST as they grow older. We gave them an overview of how FLL works, since most of us participated in FLL in previous years and wanted to share our experiences from the past in order for more teams to learn from our mistakes beforehand. Many members of the FLL Jr./ FLL teams we coached were about to graduate and become a part of FLL/ FTC. So, we were also able to answer any of their questions and guided them through those transitions.
